Planned NCSSM Expansion

I participated in an on-campus meeting of alumni to learn about the  
proposed expansion plans and can tell you that the money comes  
primarily from NCSSM being a part of the UNC system now.  For the  
school to grow to its intended size adding additional housing and lab  
space, the school is in desperate need of a "master campus plan",  
something it has never had.  One of the great ideas discussed is the  
addition of central gathering spaces like an outdoor quad and a large  
open student center.  Some buildings may be lost along the way (most  
likely my old dorm Hill House), but the changes should really help to  
update the aging and outdated infrastructure of the campus.
