5+ years of Boarman?

Hi all,
I happened to be taking some time to read old archives of this list, and
realized that it's been quite a while since the last round of
Boarman-bashing. He's been at the school for more than five years now.
The last controversy espoused here was the renewal of the fight to
build a track & stadium, with lighting, but even this seems to have gone
away. The tuition grant discussion isn't really about Boarman, but he
clearly supports it and no one has faulted him for this.
So I'm wondering, does this mean Boarman is now getting along better
with the community? As far as I know, he hasn't recently ordered secret
cameras in smoke detectors, hired his cronies from Maryland, proposed a
new student fee, changed the academic calendar, added GPA and inflated
grades, asked for an increase in his housing allowance, or anything else
that has raised the ire of the students and alumni. There has been
little talk of the "direction" the NCSSM administration is going as a
whole and why we should withold giving to the Foundation as a result.
Nor has the school been shut down early for stress that I know of.
Does this means that things are at a status quo, and that SGF[*] Boarman
is focusing less on making these types of changes? Maybe all is well -
the Pax NCSSM of 2007? Or does this mean we just aren't hearing about
this type of thing on this list?
I do wonder if recent alums (e.g. '06), and upcoming '07 are hearing
about this list as I think it's been a great tool in the past for those
interested in advocacy about the school, not to mention great stories
from the past. Are we able to announce this list to 2007 graduates in
any straightforward way? Or maybe email is too much of a 1990's
technology, not relevant for today?
