I caught that one, and was absolutely floored by it. All I can figure
is either a) this is "OMG Durham is dangerous!" hysteria (I could be
wrong, but I'll bet you can't find a high school in Wake County which
wasn't more dangerous than NCSSM last year) or b) the letter writer
thinks her daughter is going to turn into a nymphomanic if she doesn't
have Mommy and Daddy watching over her (in which case I wonder what she
thinks her daughter will do when she gets to college!).
