Agreed.  I think I largely agree with you on most points.

I also recall that the reasoning I used in picking a college was partly
aesthetics.  In-state, I probably would have been best served by NCSU.
I preferred the mountain/rural setting of VT.

If I could do it over again with the perspective I have now, I might
have made a very different decision.  Actually, a lot of very different
decisions.  But I guess that's a sign that I've matured.  Or at least
changed...  :-)
