I'm completely ignorant of the typical numbers for such things . . .
but even the 55% seems pretty high to me already!
I wonder if this has influenced acceptance and/or scholarship rates at
other colleges (out of state and NC private institutions). Are these
schools going to feel that it's not worth the effort to deal with
NCSSM students if there's an 80% chance they'll be lured by the free
ride? Or will they pull out the stops, knowing what they're up
against?
