I love the keychain--it's a lovely design, and still subtle enough to be
personal to those of us who are 'older' alums out in the world, as opposed
to screaming our allegiance to the uncaring universe. I don't think the
keychain is supposed to be advertising--it's more of a personal memento that
supports the school. Have those who object to keychains seen the design? I
would not mind that on a shirt or something either (which at this point I'm
much less likely to use), but I would definitely support the keychain with
that design. I would think the price depends on what the projected sales
volume is, and what the fundraising goal is. PBS hands out stuff like this
for $20 or so, with the idea that most of that is a donation. But if you
sold them for $10, people would likely buy more and hand them out. I would
personally support either approach, but the price depends on how many one
expects to sell and what the fundraising goal is.
