OK, he really is the cutest baby in the world. And I would say it if he
wasn't. I was accused of being brutally honest while at S&M, so you can
trust me.

And he's topped 2 lbs!!!!

Feel free to think good thoughts, pray, chant incantations, and cast spells
for his continued growth and development.

  Subject: jameson karst edwards

hi, classes of 85-86-87. just wanted to update my friends with the news
that my baby was born dec 1st. his name is jameson karst edwards. (karst
is the type of rock formations in the caves of north florida that i love to
dive.) he was very premature - 25 weeks - because i suddenly developed
severe pre-eclampsia. he weighed 1lb 9.8oz and was 12 1/4 inches long.

so far, except for being premature and having issues related to that,
especially his lungs, he's very healthy. he's gaining weight, peeing and
pooping, and his only med is a bit of sedation because he's on an
oscillating vent (which babies hate because it shakes you like a magic
fingers mattress.) of course, he's the cutest baby in the whole world...

i'm doing terrific physically. i've had sunburns that hurt worse than the
c-section. of course, emotionally is a bit tougher, but my wonderful
friends - including ones from s&m! - have made a huge effort & been
extremely supportive. feel free to reply off-list & say 'hey'!
