NCSSM in the news

NCSSM made the front page (above the fold, even) of the Durham
Herald-Sun on Saturday with this article about the soccer field and
lighting controversy:

I think the reporter is mistaken about NCSSM being a member of the UNC
system right now; as far as I know, it will become the 17th member of
the UNC system sometime next Fall, but is currently a UNC affiliate.

Also, a team from NCSSM is advancing to the finals of the
Siemens-Westinghouse competition (apparently now called the "Siemens
Competition in Math, Science & Technology"?):
