Greetings,
It is a little unusual to have passion for one's high school, and sometimes it is hard to explain to others how much the school changed my life in such a positive way. When I look back on my experiences at the North Carolina School of Science and Math, I can't help but think of how the school laid the foundation for my career. Even more important are the life-long friendships that were formed in those short 2 years. I can only hope that students today are able to have the same level of experiences that I was able to have, but I fear that as time has passed this has become more difficult.
I'd like to help students at the school if I can, and so I'm proud to announce that I am officially launching my keychain fundraiser. The proceeds from this event will go directly to student programs such as hall activities, art programs, and student clubs through the use of restricted funds. This is a trial program with a modest goal to raise $1000 by the end of 2006, and if this is successful and there is interest in other items (I've already had requests for some Unicorn-themed items) then I'm willing to expand this effort!
For now I'm starting with the "Figure" keychain. To view the item and contribute to this fundraiser please visit http://ncssmkeychains.org
I'm always open to feedback and suggestions as well!
Thanks!
